This sportfishing boat really creates a form of comfort that is unmatched and great for long days offshore.

What’s up, guys? This is Johnston with 4 Sons Charters and we’re introducing a new boat that we’re going to be adding as a listing for our offshore and deep sea trips.

It’s a 52-foot Viking sportfishing boat. It’s going to specialize in billfish and meat fish trolling, but we’ll be doing a lot of circular fishing and billfishing specifically. The sportfishing boat really creates a form of comfort that is unmatched. You have the couches and the mezzanine where you can sit and watch the lines or watch the mates work.

Comfort Offshore

The amenities on this thing are huge. You have AC and heat when you need it for the wintertime, along with couches, TVs, a microwave, and refrigerators—I mean, you name it. Right here in Charleston, South Carolina, over the last few years, we’ve had a pretty big increase in the bill fishery. A lot of billfish have been showing up in our area and this boat behind us is the perfect vessel to go do that on.

The Rumble Of The Diesel

What makes these sportfishing boats so good for the billfishing is the motors; the rumble of the diesel just, for some reason, entices the fish to come up to the surface to check out the baits. With having the big riggers off the side of the boat, you can pull teasers and multiple lines. We love center console fishing, but the sportfishing boat is just next level.

Book Your Charleston Offshore Charter

A sportfishing boat really provides accessibility for people that are older or maybe don’t want to be out in the weather—even young guys like us that want a little more of a smoother ride, to be able to go on a little rougher days and not have to worry about spray. It comes with a pretty big price tag for the charters, but it’s definitely worth the bang for your buck if you’ve got some clients that you want to entertain or somebody that just wants to be comfortable. This is the boat for it.
